My husband and I spent an incredible week with Rosy and her husband Carsten on her amazing boat on the Canal du Midi. We have traveled quite a bit and wanted a different type of experience where we got to truly understand the character of an area. Rosy gave us this and so much more. From the planning for the trip to the minute we landed to the minute we left, Rosy took care of every single detail and made it a perfect experience. She planned an amazing experience with planned activities, all meals considered, and time to relax and rejuvenate. The wine experiences were absolutely amazing, Rosy's knowledge is extensive and she does such a good job explaining and teaching. Her network of local wine producers is superb and we were able to meet some of these on our journey.
Boating round trip journey with tasting on bord We especially loved the experience of seeing the historic locks and actually getting to see how they worked. Rosy went above and beyond in every single way. Her cooking was particularly amazing, my husband is still talking about many of the meals she made. She planned for particular things my husband and I would like. If you are considering her trip, I would say you should absolutely do it!! You will have an absolutely amazing time!! We spent 2 wonderful days touring with Rosy and Carsten. Rosy found us a great place to stay right on the docks of the Canal du Midi in Le Somail, which is a beautiful little town with plenty of area for walking, doing a little shopping, and has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. We had amazing food at the Le Grands Buffets in Narbonne, another great lunch in Paraza along with a relaxing boat ride with wine and snacks. We also visited a few Chateaus where Rosy arranged tours and wine tastings for us. The wines were absolutely fantastic and the weather was perfect! It was so nice to have someone who knows the area, has great connections, and provides the transportation. All we had to do was eat, drink and relax. Our hosts were so much fun! We will definitely visit again. Thank you Rosy & Carsten!
